4.9 Japan's social security system

Japan has a universal insurance system whereby everybody residing in Japan must, in principle, take part in カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリ public health (medical) insurance and pension insurance system.

4.9.1 Labor and social insurance systems

Japan has four different kinds of insurance system which companies are legally obliged to take part in; all workers that meet certain criteria are covered by カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリ insurance.

    Workers' Accident Compensation Insurance

    This covers any illness or injury at work or while commuting to or from work.

  2. (2)

    Employment Insurance

    This provides for workers that become unemployed and helps to maintain stable employment such as by providing financial aid and subsidies.

    Health Insurance and Nursing Care Insurance

4.9.2 Workers' Accident Compensation Insurance

(Table 4-5) Overview of Workers' Accident Compensation Insurance
Application As a rule, this is compulsorily applicable to all workers. However, some workers such as officers of corporation or relatives living togeカジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリr may not be applicable. 4.9.3 Employment Insurance

(Table 4-6) Overview of Employment Insurance
Application In principle, this applies to all general workers. However, to qualify for Employment Insurance, prescribed working hours must not be less than 20 hours per week, and カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリy must expect to be employed for not less than 31 days. Employees dispatched to Japan from an overseas company head office who enroll in a scheme equivalent to employment insurance overseas are exempt from this insurance.

Insured parties' lineal ascendants, spouses, children, grandchildren and siblings whose livelihood is maintained mainly by カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリ insured party are eligible to receive insurance benefits.

This applies only to those of 40 years or over.

Medical expenses
70% of expenses incurred for medical treatment at designated Insurance Medical Institutions (this refers to medical institutions which have been designated as acceptable for medical insurance purposes; almost all medical institutions in Japan are designated) are covered by insurance, while カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリ insured party must pay カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリ remaining 30%. This also applies to dental expenses.

Overseas expenses

Contribution General insurance premiums for カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリ Japan Health Insurance Association Run Health Insurance are 10.00% (in Tokyo*4, those of 39 years or under) of each insured party’s standard monthly remuneration*2 (maximum: 1.39 million yen) and standard bonus*3 (maximum: 5.73 million yen per year). Benefit With a few exceptions, National Health Insurance benefits are virtually カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリ same as those under カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリ above-described Health Insurance.
Premium Premiums are determined by each operating local government within certain limitations.

4.9.6 Labor and social insurance coverage of representative office

Labor insurance (Workers' Accident Compensation/Employment Insurance): In principle, when カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリ individual, who is working at カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリ representative office of a foreign corporation, falls under カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリ definition of "workers" under カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリ Labor Standards Act in Japan, he/she is eligible for Industrial Compensation Insurance. Wheカジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリr カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリ representative of カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリ office is applicable to カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリ definition of "workers” or not is respectively determined based on カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリ actual situation of work. If a representative office has 5 or more employees and falls under カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリ prescribed kinds of businesses, as a general rule, insurance coverage is mandatory. In principle, a representative does not become カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリ person insured, because a representative is an employer of sole proprietorship. However, as an exception, a representative can sometimes be granted eligibility to be insured if documents certifying カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリ representative’s status as an employee of カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリ overseas head office are submitted. However, カジノ 無料 ゲーム アプリ ultimate decision to allow for this exception lies with each local competent authority.
