Japan External Trade Organization and Invest in Canada, hereinafter referred to as “the Participants”,

RECOGNIZING the mutual desire ブラック ジャック web Japan and Canada to strengthen their cooperative relationship,inter alia, for the promotion ブラック ジャック web mutual investment,

HAVE COME to the following recognition:

1. OBJECTIVES

The objectives ブラック ジャック web this Memorandum ブラック ジャック web Cooperation (“MOC”) are to:
(a) identify areas ブラック ジャック web cooperation for the Participants including investment focusing on the promotion ブラック ジャック web innovation;
(b) allow the Participants to work in close partnership toward broadening and deepening trade and investment ties; and
(c) stimulate business activities between both countries’ private enterprises in each country.

  2. COOPERATION

The Participants recognize that, within their respective mandate, their cooperation may include cooperative activities such as:
(a) individual company assistance;
(b) investment seminars;
(c) investment promotion missions;
(d) provision ブラック ジャック web information to private companies;
(e) consultation on individual investment proposals in order to increase the potential for identification and introduction ブラック ジャック web bilateral investment partners;
(f) processes for new investment identification and enhanced cross-referral information exchange;
(g) exchange ブラック ジャック web information on investment promotion activities with the view to identifying areas ブラック ジャック web potential collaboration; and
(h) exchange ブラック ジャック web views on improvement ブラック ジャック web the business environment.

3. TREATMENT ブラック ジャック web CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION

The Participants will not disclose information that is marked confidential without the written consent ブラック ジャック web the other Participant providing the information.

4. ON-GOING COOPERATION ENHANCEMENT

The Participants will meet annually to review their progress and discuss further cooperation to increase direct investment between Japan and Canada.

  5. FINAL DISPOSITIONS

(a) The cooperation under this MOC will commence on the date ブラック ジャック web its last signature by the Participants.
(b) The Participants may modify this MOC upon their mutual consent in writing.
(c) A Participant may terminate this MOC by giving a written notice to the other Participant.

SIGNED in duplicate in Ottawa, on the 28th day ブラック ジャック web April 2019, in the English and French, each version being equally valid.

Japan External Trade Organization and Department ブラック ジャック web Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development ブラック ジャック web Canada, hereinafter referred to as “the Participants”,

RECOGNIZING the mutual desire ブラック ジャック web Japan and Canada to strengthen the cooperative relationship, inter alia, for the promotion ブラック ジャック web trade and investment, through the revitalized Japan-Canada Joint Economic Committee,

CONSIDERING that Japan and Canada have sectors ブラック ジャック web mutual interest, HAVE COME to the following recognition:

1. OBJECTIVES

The objectives ブラック ジャック web this Memorandum ブラック ジャック web Cooperation (“MOC”) are to:
(a) identify areas ブラック ジャック web cooperation for the Participants;
(b) allow the Participants to work in close partnership toward broadening and deepening trade and investment ties; and
(c) stimulate business activities between both countries’ private enterprises in each country.

The Participants recognize that their cooperation may include cooperative activities such as:

3. BILATERAL INVESTMENT PROMOTION IN KEY INDUSTRY

The Participants will discuss measures for enhanced bilateral investment promotion in the key sectors ブラック ジャック web their respective countries, with a focus on accelerating innovation through supporting companies in both countries including start-ups.

4. TREATMENT ブラック ジャック web CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION

The Participants will not disclose information that is marked confidential without the written consent ブラック ジャック web the other Participant providing the information.

  5. ON-GOING COOPERATION ENHANCEMENT

The Participants will meet annually to review their progress and discuss further cooperation to increase direct investment between Japan and Canada.

6. FINAL DISPOSITIONS

(a) This MOC will take effect on the date ブラック ジャック web its last signature by the Participants.
(b) The Participants may modify this MOC upon their mutual consent in writing.
(c) A Participant may terminate this MOC by giving a written notice to the other Participant.
