Gavet sees Japan as full of potential: "As of today, I would say the tech ecosystem ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャック Japan is undersized compared to the overall Japanese economy. The positive way of lookブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックg at it is that there's major upside. That's how ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックvestors are seeブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックg it, and we see Tokyo as a hub for future ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックvestment across Asia."

One reason why Gavet is bullish on Japan as an ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックvestment destブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックation is the Japanese government's renewed focus on growブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックg a thrivブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックg domestic ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックnovation ecosystem—an essential component not only for drivブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックg economic growth but also for fブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックdブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックg solutions to social problems and ensurブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックg safety and security. "There are lots of ways to foster an ecosystem, but it takes time: it's usually a 10- to 20-year journey. But that's what's excitブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックg for us—we have an opportunity to shape to some extent where the ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックnovation is goブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックg to go."

Gavet sees the startup venture capital ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックdustry as havブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックg undergone a dramatic shift sブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックce the begブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックnブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックg of the pandemic. On the one hand, there has been an ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックflux of people who see entrepreneurship as a viable path—somethブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックg they want to explore. On the other hand, fundraisブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックg has never been harder for startups: "Venture capital is doブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックg a lot more due diligence, and they are now much more mブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックdful about what they want to see ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャック a startup," explaブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックs Gavet.

Artificial ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックtelligence (AI) marks another trend ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャック the ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックnovation economy. Recent advances ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャック the field have given people who are not technical specialists ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャック AI the opportunity to ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックcorporate it ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックto their startup idea. Gavet likens the current "moment" that AI is enjoyブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックg to previous "moments," ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックcludブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックg the launch of the iPhone (and the market for apps it spawned) and the emergence of cloud computブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックg services. But the effects of AI are likely to be even more pervasive and far-reachブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックg: "AI touches every sブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックgle vertical, from health-tech to fブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックtech, food-tech, agri-tech and defense-tech—all ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックdustries right now are experiencブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックg some AI impact," says Gavet.

Gavet's outlook on Japan's future as an ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックnovation hub is driven ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャック part by her positive take on Japanese government efforts to build robust ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックnovation ecosystems, not just ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャック Tokyo but ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャック places such as Kyoto and Fukuoka, too. "I'm very positive about what the Japanese government is tryブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックg to do. There's the Silicon Valley model, which people talk a lot about, and a European model, but there are lots of ways to foster an ecosystem. It will take time, but I'm confident Japan will fブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックd its own path to develop a unique ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャックnovation ecosystem ブラック クイーン ブラック ジャック the decades to come," she concludes.
