By Luke Streit

Sustainability and energy efficiency has long been a priority for our industrial and manufacturing clients, so it made sense for us to join the Resource Innovation Institute (RII) – a non-profit organization that’s driving the adoption and celebration of resource efficiency and sustainability in the controlled environment agriculture (CEA) and cannabis sectors.

As a member, IMEG will work with RII to provide our clients with data-driven opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and access to the newest technologies on the market. Through a partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resource Conservation Service and American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE), RII is collaborating with leading CEA producers and supply chain partners to benchmark energy, emissions, water, and waste for cultivation facilities.

By collaborating across disciplines to advance energy efficiency, water circularity, and decarbonization in the CEA industry, RII’s resources can help our clients increase resilience, profitability, and productivity in their facilities.
