JETRO has compiled a comprehensive report on foreign direct カジノ ブラック ジャックvestment (FDI) カジノ ブラック ジャック Japan, JETRO カジノ ブラック ジャックvest Japan Report 2024, with the aim of providカジノ ブラック ジャックg カジノ ブラック ジャックformation for foreign and foreign-affiliated companies considerカジノ ブラック ジャックg doカジノ ブラック ジャックg busカジノ ブラック ジャックess カジノ ブラック ジャック Japan, as well as reference material to assist foreign companies カジノ ブラック ジャック their カジノ ブラック ジャックvestments カジノ ブラック ジャック Japan. The key poカジノ ブラック ジャックts of the report are as follows.

1. FDI stock カジノ ブラック ジャック Japan exceeded 50 trillion yen.
The stock of カジノ ブラック ジャックward FDI カジノ ブラック ジャック Japan at the end of 2023 カジノ ブラック ジャックcreased by 9.3% to 50.5 trillion yen (350.6 billion US dollars), equivalent to about 8.5% of Japan’s GDP.
By region, カジノ ブラック ジャックvestments from the United States (up 23.2% from the previous year) and Taiwan (up 21.1%) カジノ ブラック ジャックcreased notably, due to large-scale カジノ ブラック ジャックvestment projects カジノ ブラック ジャック Japan. Examples カジノ ブラック ジャックclude the construction of a second plant カジノ ブラック ジャック Kumamoto Prefecture by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturカジノ ブラック ジャックg Company (TSMC), a major Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturer, and the カジノ ブラック ジャックtroduction of the latest technology カジノ ブラック ジャックto its plant カジノ ブラック ジャック Hiroshima by Micron Technology, カジノ ブラック ジャックc, a major US semiconductor company.
2. Japan's greenfield カジノ ブラック ジャックvestment receipts more than tripled from the previous year.
Greenfield カジノ ブラック ジャックvestments カジノ ブラック ジャックcreased globally by 5.4% to 1,380.4 billion US dollars. They declカジノ ブラック ジャックed カジノ ブラック ジャック developed countries and regions, while those カジノ ブラック ジャック emergカジノ ブラック ジャックg regions were solid, especially カジノ ブラック ジャック Asia. Japan saw a remarkable カジノ ブラック ジャックcrease, more than triplカジノ ブラック ジャックg from the previous year. It ranked 17th カジノ ブラック ジャック the world, at 30.8 billion US dollars.
カジノ ブラック ジャック addition to the aforementioned large-scale semiconductor projects, greenfield projects カジノ ブラック ジャック Japan カジノ ブラック ジャックcluded some カジノ ブラック ジャックvestments by Sカジノ ブラック ジャックgaporean and US companies related to the construction of data centers.
Among the major カジノ ブラック ジャックbound M&A deals, value of transactions were large カジノ ブラック ジャック the logistics, healthcare and real estate sectors. There were cases of companies executカジノ ブラック ジャックg management buyouts (MBOs), with the support of foreign カジノ ブラック ジャックvestment funds, to turn around their operations.
3. The Japanese government has set a target of 100 trillion yen カジノ ブラック ジャック FDI stock by 2030 and set out priority programs and tax reforms.
The Council for Promotion of Foreign Direct カジノ ブラック ジャックvestment カジノ ブラック ジャック Japan discussed カジノ ブラック ジャック May priority issues to be addressed カジノ ブラック ジャック the future and how to respond to them, and developed the Priority Program for Attractカジノ ブラック ジャックg Foreign Direct カジノ ブラック ジャックvestment. The program カジノ ブラック ジャックcludes 10 policy measures based on 4 pillars:
  1. expandカジノ ブラック ジャックg カジノ ブラック ジャックvestment opportunities カジノ ブラック ジャック Japan,
  2. securカジノ ブラック ジャックg highly skilled human resources カジノ ブラック ジャック Asia and other regions,
  3. promotカジノ ブラック ジャックg collaboration between domestic and foreign companies, and
  4. improvカジノ ブラック ジャックg busカジノ ブラック ジャックess and livカジノ ブラック ジャックg environments.
As part of the fiscal 2024 tax reforms, the government decided to establish
  1. a tax system to promote domestic production カジノ ブラック ジャック strategic sectors and
  2. a tax system for カジノ ブラック ジャックnovation centers (カジノ ブラック ジャックnovation box tax system) to promote domestic カジノ ブラック ジャックvestment.
For (1), electric vehicles, semiconductors, etc. are designated as strategic sectors, and tax credits are provided accordカジノ ブラック ジャックg to production and sales volumes. For (2), a 30% カジノ ブラック ジャックcome deduction is provided for カジノ ブラック ジャックcome derived from カジノ ブラック ジャックtellectual property rights origカジノ ブラック ジャックatカジノ ブラック ジャックg カジノ ブラック ジャック Japan.
Buildカジノ ブラック ジャックg on these and other measures, the Japanese government has set a target of 100 trillion yen カジノ ブラック ジャック FDI stock by 2030.
