On June 6, 2022, JETRO Hanoi held a certificate awarding ceremony for the "Introduction to Business Models for Japanese Companies (JETRO Course)" at ブラック ジャック ストラテジー of Foreign Trade. This course was established in 2018 based on a cooperation agreement between JETRO and ブラック ジャック ストラテジー of Foreign Trade, and is an initiative by JETRO to offer classes for which regular credit is granted. This year's course consisted of lectures in April and a presentation exam in May, with 84 third-year students from the Faculty of Japanese Language completing the course.

The first two lectures were given online, and subsequent lectures were given in person. The lecturers were Nakajima Takeo, Director-General of JETRO Hanoi, and representatives from Japanese companies; including Elovi Vietnam (dairy industry), Canon Vietnam (printing machines), MISUMI Vietnam (metal parts), Nagase Vietnam (chemical trading company), Logitem Vietnam Holdings (logistics), Nissho Electronics Vietnam (software development) and Mitsui Sumitomo (insurance); gave lectures on the objectives of expansion, activities, desired human resources, future prospects and other topics. After the lecture, students asked many questions, some of which the lecturers had trouble answering. In the presentation test, students made group presentations of their ideas based on the content of the lecture, and the lecturer evaluated the students' Japanese language skills and the content of their presentations.

At the completion ceremony, President Bui Anh Tuan said, "Through this course, the students were able to enhance and deepen their understanding of the management principles and business models of Japanese companies. At the same time, I believe that the Japanese companies, through their contact with the students, were also able to understand their ideas, abilities and potential.

Mr. Nakajima said, "This course, now in its fifth year, has further improved the level of its lessons. Listening to the students' presentations in the mid-term examination, it was clear that they had a deep understanding of the companies. Next year, Vietnam and Japan will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, and relations between the two countries are growing closer every year. I hope that all the graduates will contribute to the development of Vietnam-Japan relations in the future," he told the students.

Lei Mai Hoang, a representative of the graduating students expressed his aspirations, "I believe that human resources are an important factor in the success of a company. Through the presentation, I learned what abilities are required and what skills I should acquire. I would like to apply what I have learned from this course to my future work so that I will not disappoint my teachers and companies when I graduate and start working in the future.”

JETRO will continue to contribute to the development of core human resources who will play a key role in strengthening Japan-Vietnam economic relations through efforts to connect outstanding Vietnamese human resources with Japanese companies.
